The topic is the battle

A rap battle needs two rappers and something to fight about. You supply both. The two photos become the rappers and the topic becomes the fight. Write it as a clear either-or, like “Pineapple pizza: yes vs no”, and the verse is built around that back-and-forth, with the two of you trading bars over the same beat.

Names make it sharper. “Sam says pineapple belongs on pizza, Jo says it is a crime” tells the AI who stands where, so the shots land on the right person. You have 200 characters, which is plenty for two names, two positions and one detail that will make the group chat laugh. The topic can be typed in any language; the battle is rapped in English.

Battle formats that never get old

FormatExample topicWhy it works
Food court“Ketchup on eggs: genius vs crime”Everyone has an opinion and nobody gets hurt
House rules“Thermostat war: 19 vs 24 degrees”Roommates and couples live this one daily
Family feud“Dad vs me: who tells worse jokes”Mixed-age pairs are extra funny
Fan rivalry“Our two teams before Sunday's game”A built-in audience in the group chat
Desk duel“Light mode vs dark mode”A safe office fight for the team channel

The strongest battle topics share three things: two sides that are equally easy to defend, stakes that are tiny, and an audience that already argues about it. If your group chat has screenshots of the argument, it is a good battle.

Run it as a series

One battle is a post; three battles are a series. Make round one, let the comments vote, then render the rematch with the loser's comeback in the topic: “Jo fires back: pineapple is still a crime, and here is why.” Each round at the default 12-second, 720p setting uses 10 credits, and the verse is written from scratch every time, so no two rounds sound the same. Put the round number in the caption so people can find the rest.

Choose Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p or 720p for a 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15-second video. Select 9:16, 1:1 or 16:9; the studio shows the exact credit cost before you submit.

Keep it a battle, not a beef

The best battles are about opinions, not people's lives. Argue about toppings, teams and thermostats; leave out bodies, money, exes and anything that would really sting. Both rappers should be people who agreed to be in the video, and real public figures are off the table, as is anything that harasses a real person. Before you post, show it to the person on the other side. If they laugh, it is ready.

If you want a one-sided roast instead of a two-way debate, the diss track generator is set up for that, with the same friendly rules.

AI rap battle generator: questions

Who wins the battle?

The lyrics follow your topic, so if you want a winner, say so, like “Sam wins on the last line”. Otherwise both sides get their shots and the comments decide.

Can more than two people battle?

Each video has two performers. For a bigger bracket, run several one-on-one battles and post them as rounds.

Can I battle a celebrity or a famous rapper?

No. Only use photos of people who agreed to be in the video, and don't impersonate public figures. Voices are generated and never cloned from real artists.

Can I type the debate in another language?

Yes. The topic box accepts any language, but the studio requests an English performance.

How long is a battle and what does it cost?

Choose Seedance 2.0 Mini at 480p or 720p for a 5, 8, 10, 12 or 15-second video. A 12-second video uses 5 credits at 480p or 10 at 720p. A 5-second effect uses 3 credits at 480p or 5 at 720p. Other lengths use the displayed per-second rate, rounded up to a whole credit. One-time packs start at $9.99 for 10 credits; larger packs are $99 for 350, $199 for 900 and $499 for 3,000 credits.
